Andy Cawthera went to Bangladesh in the first half of February 2016 to work with Munsur Rahman on plans to re-start classes. Discussions were held with community based NGOs that are used to working with volunteers, with Union Parishad Chairmen interested in working to abolish illiteracy in their Unions and with printers about costs and logistics of printing.
A team of twelve keen and brave people from Headland Consultancy have signed up to run the Hackney half-marathon on 8th May and are getting sponsorship to help fund our adult literacy work. We are very grateful to Headland and are immensely proud that they are supporting our work. We wish them well with their training!
