Congratulations to the eleven people from Headland Consultancy who ran the Hackney Half Marathon on May 8th to raise money to help re-start our adult literacy work.

It was the hottest day of the year so far and most of the Headland crew managed to run the 13 miles in around 2 hours - quite remarkable as the temperature rose to 26C.

Many thanks to Headland and all their staff for their interest and support.

Andy Cawthera went to Bangladesh in the first half of February 2016 to work with Munsur Rahman on plans to re-start classes.  Discussions were held with community based NGOs that are used to working with volunteers, with Union Parishad Chairmen interested in working to abolish illiteracy in their Unions and with printers about costs and logistics of printing.
