Cementing Futures visit JP Hastings School

30/4/2018

Nijera Shikhi Bangladesh was visited by 2 committee members of Cementing Futures, our partner organisation.
They were very pleased to see the school running well and to meet some of the previous students of John P Hastings School who had been invited to return.
Seven past students were able to come to the reunion.
The school was proud to report that some of them were continuing to class 6 and 7 in other schools and some had returned to their villages.
The meeting at the school also included some of the mothers of the learners, which enabled a lovely atmosphere.

Sadly we also learned of the death of the husband of our beloved Executive secretary, Professor Suraiya Siddiqui.
Our sincere condolences have been sent to her in her loss and bereavement.
